'Skin' Google Gadgets and other SCRIPTS
I created the above Curved Corners Box by grabbing a script tag from Google Gadgets and pasting it into the 'Contents Area' of this online web application, changing a couple of settings to create the pine wood style, and then just copying and pasting the code provided by this system into this page. Way cool and if you refresh this page you'll get a new quote! The script tag given to me by Google Gadgets looks like this: Be warned that about half of the Google Gadgets will not work correctly in Internet Explorer! That's a problem with Google Gadgets and not a problem with this system. It is a know problem on the web and there is no known solution so if it is important that your gadget be cross browser compatable, test, test, and test. Besides Google Gadgets, another great place to get web widgets is WidgetBox.com. Below is a Curved Corners Box I created with this system by grabbing a script tag from WidgetBox and pasting it into the 'Contents Area' of this wizard and changing a few style settings to get the blue tile style and then pasting the Copy/Paste code provided by this system into this page. It is a fully functional web widget and you can search for stuff in this web site by using it.
You can also put a script tag plus other stuff in a Curved Corner Box like this: Notice the addition of 'SEARCH this Site' after the SCRIPT tag. That Curved Corners Box will look like this:
That 'SEARCH this Site' text could have easily been made into a link or other html, the skys the limit because I do not limit the html you can put in this system to interactively develop the style of your Curved Corners Box. This system is robust and can handle almost any html without choking and using almost any browser. As well the Copy/Paste code generated by this system is even more robust and will work on almost all browsers old and new. |
