'Skin' YOUTUBE Videos!Interactively create a Curved Corners 'skin' for a YouTube.com video using this free online WIZARD. 'Skins' can be any color or can be graphical like wood, stone, brick, or lines. You can then paste the Curved Corners Box 'skin' code with the YouTube video embedded that I give you into a web page or a web account like MySpace.com. The video will then play as usual in the web page with the Curved Corners 'skin' around it. 'Frank Caliendo' YouTube Video 'Skinned' with this Free SystemBelow is a 'skinned' YouTube Video of Frank Caliendo I created with this system and just Copy/Pasted into this page at this point. It is a fully functional video, just click on it and it will play right inline in this page for you. It has a pine wood Curved Corners skin, one of the many graphical skins selectable with this system by just pointing and clicking.
You are not limited to just skinning a YouTube.com video by itself, you can stick 'live' web links, web image tags, or even entire web forms right inside the Curved Corners 'skin' with the YouTube video! Or you can simply put some text in with it like I did with the text 'Frank Caliendo - Impressions' above. That way I can have the video title right inside the 'skin' with the video, but you can put any HTML you want in with it. Some available graphical skin categories include wood, wood logs, stone, bricks, and lines. You can even create your own unique graphical Curved Corners skin by specifying the url of any graphic on the web and my WIZARD will tile it and create Curved Corners out of it. The YouTube.com Embed FieldSo how do you use this system to 'skin' a YouTube Video? When you are playing a video on YouTube.com, to the right of that video is a field labeled 'Embed'. You may or may not already know that you can copy that field to your clipboard and then paste it into any web page that you have access to (it can also be pasted into parts of your MySpace.com account). You can then upload that web page and the video can be played inline right in your web page(or MySpace account). Way to go YouTube! To use my system, you would Copy/Paste that 'embed' field into a textbox in my system. Steps Necessary to Use This System to 'Skin' YouTube Videos1) Copy/Paste the 'embed'
field from YouTube into the large text box provided by this system
for your Curved Corners Box
'Contents'.
2) You can then 'play' with the Curved Corners Box application to
interactively experiment with
the style of your video 'skin' and the style of any text that you
put in with the video.
3) Once you are satisfied with your design,
you Copy/Paste the code
provided by this system into your web page
or MySpace account and then upload it and play it.
Below is the code I placed in the 'Contents Area' of this WIZARD to create the 'skinned' Frank Caliendo video shown higher in this column. Notice that after the OBJECT tag I got from YouTube.com I added '<br>Frank Caliendo - Impressions'. That allows the title of the video to be right inside of the Curved Corners Box with the video! To set the style for that text I used the point and click 'Font Color' setting, the 'Text Size' setting, and the 'Font Family' setting. As well as putting text in your Curved Corners Box with the YouTube OBJECT tag, you can also put practically any html in there with the OBJECT tag including web links, web forms, image tags, and even script tags! |
