Font sizeThe Contents Area Text Size setting offers 2 basic ways you can set the text size. To the left is a drop down selection field and you can select attributes like large, x-large, small, etc. To the right is a field where you can enter an arbitrary number and then select options like '%', points, ems, etc. If you use the selection box to the left, it overrides any settings you might have in the fields to the right. In order to use the text size fields to the right, set the selection box on the left to its blank option. When the 2 fields to the right are used to set the text size, the 2 fields are combined to get the value. You might use '120' with the '%' setting, giving you '120%' (my favorite). Or you might use '1.2' with the 'ems' setting to give you '1.2ems' (a favorite of many CSS users). Here's some text size tips. If you use a relative text size setting, like '%' or 'ems', the actual size of the resulting text will be dependent on the browser settings of the current viewer. If that person is poor of vision, and has the default font size on their browser set to large, then the text inside the curved corner box will increase in size also, making it readable. Which is why experts always advise the use of relative CSS font sizes. If you do use relative font sizes, the size of the font as seen on the Curved-Corner-Boxes.com web page and the apparent size of the font after inserted in your target web page, may appear to be different. If this happens, adjust the relative font size a little bit on Curved-Corner-Boxes.com and then recopy and repaste. If you want to know more about how text sizes work, do a google on something like 'CSS font-size'. Whenever you alter the 'Text Size' selection box to the left, an 'Updating' message will appear and the WYSIWYG display will be changed to reflect the new setting. If you alter the number in the 'Value' field to the right, the WYSIWYG display will be updated as soon as you click anywhere outside the field or if you press RETURN in the field. The unit type field(%, em, pixels, points) to the right of the 'Value' field will not auto update the WYSIWYG after you change it from like pixels to em. That could cause a sudden confusing great change in the font size. If you want to change from say % to pixels, change the select box to pixels and then change the number that goes with it and then click outside that field to update the WYSIWYG display. |
